NAKIAN, REUBEN: Appointed for creative work in sculpture, abroad; tenure, twelve months from June 1, 1931.
Born August 10, 1897, at College Point, Long Island. Education: Worked with Paul Manship and Gaston Lachaise.
Exhibited at Brooklyn Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Detroit Art Museum, Cleveland Art Museum, Philadelphia Art Alliance, Municipal Art Gallery of Atlantic City, Grand Central Galleries of New York, Newark Museum. Represented in permanent collections of Newark Museum and Whitney Museum of American Art.
