NELSON, EVERETT JOHN:  Appointed for an investigation of the metaphysical foundations of formal logic, and the construction of a system of intensional logic and the application thereof to the problems of logic and logistic; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1939.

Born October 18, 1900, at Castel Rock, Washington.  Education:  University of Washington, A.B., 1923, A.M., 1925; Harvard University, A.M., 1928, Ph.D., 1929 (Sheldon Travelling Fellow, 1929–30).

Assistant Professor of Philosophy, 1930–34, Associate Professor, 1934—, University of Washington.

Publications:  Articles and reviews in Philosophical Review, Mind, Monist, Bulletin of the American Mathematical Society, Journal of Symbolic Logic, Philosophy of Science, Journal of Philosophy.
