NIELSEN, JENS RUD:  Appointed for theoretical and experimental studies of Raman spectra and molecular structure, with Professor Niels Bohr at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, University of Copenhagen; tenure, twelve months from August 15, 1931.

Born September 22, 1894, at Copenhagen, Denmark. Education:  University of Copenhagen, candidates philosophiae, 1914, candidates magisterii, 1919; California Institute of Technology, Ph.D., 1924 (Fellow of the American-Scandinavian Foundation, 1922–23).

Scientific Assistant, 1919–22, Polyteknisk Laereanstalt, University of Copenhagen; Professor of Physics, 1923–24, Humboldt State Teachers College; Assistant Professor of Physics, 1924–26, Associate Professor, 1926–30, Professor, 1930—, University of Oklahoma.
