NOLLER, CARL ROBERT: Appointed for a study of the methods in use at certain European laboratories for determining the constitution of naturally occurring organic compounds, especially the sapogenins and sterols; tenure, seven months from June 1, 1933.
Born November 10, 1900, at St. Louis, Missouri. Education: University of Missouri, 1918–19; Washington University, St. Louis, B.S., 1922, M.S., 1923; University of Illinois, Ph.D., 1926.
Instructor in Chemistry, 1926–27, Northwestern University; Research chemist, 1927–29, Eastman Kodak Company; Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry, 1929—, Stanford University.
Publications: Articles in Washington University Studies, Journal of the American Chemical Society. Associate editor of Organic Syntheses.
