Born April 1, 1912, Arequipa, Peru. Education: University of San Agustin, Arequipa, Ph.D., 1936. Private studies in art.
Professor of the History of Art, 1936—, Director of the Institute of Art, 1941, University of San Agustin, Arequipa.
Exhibitions: Arequipa, Peru, 1927, 1934, 1937, 1940; Cuzco, Peru, 1932; Lima, Peru, 1943; Santiago, Chile, 1933; New York City, 1944. Murals executed for the Municipal Building, Arequipa. Awarded first prize in the Arequipa Fourth Centenary Celebration.
