NUTE, GRACE LEE:  Appointed for the writing of a joint biography of Pierre Esprit Radisson and Médard Chouart, Sieur des Groseilliers, two leaders in French exploration of inland North America and of the Hudson Bay area in the 17th century, abroad; tenure, twelve months from August 10, 1934.

Born October 13, 1895, at North Conway, New Hampshire. Education: Smith College, A.B., 1917; Radcliffe College, A.M., 1918, Ph.D., 1921.

Curator of Manuscripts, 1921—, Minnesota Historical Society; Assistant Professor of History, 1927—, Hamline University.

Publications:  The Voyageur, 1931. Articles in Mississippi Vallry Historical Review, Minnesota History, American Historical Review, Minnesota Municipalities, Minnesota Legislative Manual, Minnesota Alumni Weekly, Western Magazine, Dictionary of American Biography. Co-editor of Five Fur Traders of the Northwest, 1933.
