PARKHURST, HELEN HUSS:  Appointed for the preparation of a work on the aesthetics of architecture, abroad; tenure, twelve months from July 15, 1931.

Born January 3, 1887, in New York City. Education:  Bryn Mawr College, A.B., 1911, M.A., 1913, Ph.D., 1917 (M. Carey Thomas European Fellow, 1913–14); University of Cambridge and University of the Sorbonne, 1913–14; Johns Hopkins University, 1915–16.

Lecturer in History of Art, Bryn Mawr College, 1916–17; Assistant in Philosophy, 1917–18, Instructor, 1918–24, Assistant Professor, 1924–31, Associate Professor, 1931—, Barnard College.

Publications:  Beauty: An Interpretation of Art and the Imaginative Life, 1930. Contributor to Essays in Honor of John Dewey, and Studies in the History of Ideas, Vol. II. Articles in The Philosophical Review, The International Journal of Ethics, Mind, The Open Court, Journal of Philosophy.
