PATCHEN, KENNETH: Appointed for creative writing in the field of poetry; tenure, twelve months from April 1, 1936.
Born August 17, 1911, at Niles, Ohio. Education: University of Wisconsin, 1929–30.
Publications: Before the Brave, 1936. Contributor to Scribner’s Magazine, Harper’s Magazine, Poetry, New Republic, New York Herald-Tribune, New York Times, New Masses, Nation, Saturday Review of Literature, The Magazine. Contributor to anthologies, Proletarian Literature in the United States, Westminster Anthology of English and American Poets.
