Pfeiffer, Robert Henry: Appointed to make archaeological excavations and investigations in Northern Mesopotamia; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1928.
Born February 14, 1892, at Bologna, Italy. Education: Licée (Bologna), graduated 1911; Universities of Berlin and Tübingen, 1913–14; University of Geneva, Switzerland, S.T.B., 1915; Harvard University, A.M., 1920, Ph.D., 1922, S.T.M., 1923.
Assistant in Semitic Languages, 1921–22, Instructor in Semitic Languages, 1922, Harvard University; Instructor in Biblical and Cognate Languages, 1923–25, Assistant Professor, 1925–27, Associate Professor, 1927—, Boston University, School of Theology.
