PROKOSCH, FREDERIC:  Appointed for creative writing; tenure, twelve months from May 21, 1937.

Born May 17, 1906, at Madison, Wisconsin. Education:  Haverford College, B.A., 1925, M.A., 1926; University of Pennsylvania, 1926–28; Yale University, Ph.D., 1932; University of Cambridge, 1935–36.

Instructor in English, 1930–32, Yale University; Instructor in English, 1936–37, New York University.

Publications:  The Asiatics, 1935; The Assassins, 1936; The Seven Who Fled, 1937 (Harper Prize Novel). Poems in Harper’s Magazine, London Spectator, Criterion, London Mercury, Virginia Quarterly Review.  Contributor to The English Novelists, 1936.
