Russell, Josiah Cox:  Appointed for a systematic examination for biographical data of the manuscripts of certain Latin authors of thirteenth century England, in English libraries; tenure, nine months from September 1, 1920.

Born September 3, 1900, at Richmond, Indiana. Education: Earlham College, A.B., 1922; University of Rome, 1920–21; Harvard University, A.M., 1923, Ph.D., 1926.

Assistant in History, 1923–24, Radcliffe College; Assistant in History, 1924–26, Harvard University; Assistant Professor of History, 1927–29, Colorado College; Professor of History and Social Science, 1929—, New Mexico Normal University.

Publications: Articles in Colorado College Publications, Speculum, Philological Quarterly, Haskins Anniversary Essays. Abstracts in the Social Science Abstracts.
