SCHORER, MARK:  Appointed for the preparation of a book on the relationship between ideas and forms in the poetry of William Blake; tenure, twelve months from June 1, 1941.

Born May 17, 1908, Sauk City, Wisconsin. Education:  University of Wisconsin, A.B., 1929, Ph.D., 1936 (Zona Gale Scholar, 1928–29; Mary Adams Fellow, 1935–36); Harvard University, A.M., 1930.

Teaching Fellow in English, 1931–35, University of Wisconsin; Instructor in English, 1936–37, Dartmouth College; Instructor in English, 1937–40, Briggs-Copeland Instructor, 1940—, Harvard University.
