SCHWARTZ, DELMORE:  Appointed for creative writing in the field of poetry; tenure, twelve months from April 1, 1940.

Born December 8, 1913, in Brooklyn, New York. Education:  University of Wisconsin, 1931–32; New York University, A.B., 1935.

Briggs-Copeland Instructor in English Composition, Harvard University, 1940.

Publications:  In Dreams Begin Responsibilities, 1939. Essays, stories, poems and reviews in Southern Review, Nation, Poetry, Kenyon Review, Partisan Review, New Directions.
