THOMPSON, CRAIG RINGWALT. Appointed for the preparation of a scholarly edition, with introduction and commentary, of the Bailey translation of Erasmus’ Colloquia Familiaria; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1942.
Born June 25, 1911, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Education: Dickinson College, A.B., 1933; Princeton University, A.M., 1935, Ph.D., 1937 (University Fellow, 1935–37).
Instructor in English, 1937—, Cornell University.
Publications: The Translations of Lucian by Erasmus and St. Thomas More, 1940. Articles in Philological Quarterly, English Studies, Classical Journal, Classical Philology.
