As published in the Foundation’s Report for 1939–40:

TRENTHAM, EUGENE:  Appointed for creative work in painting; tenure, twelve months from April 15, 1939.

 Born September 23, 1912, at Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  Education:  Private art studies, 1930–32.

One-man shows, Denver Art Museum, 1934 and 1936. Exhibited in Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Denver Art Museum, Corcoran Gallery, Art Institute of Chicago, Phillips Memorial Gallery, Golden Gate Exposition, New York World’s Fair. Awarded the Yetter Memorial Prize, Denver Art Museum, 1938. Represented in permanent collection of the Denver Art Museum.  Decorations executed for the O’Neill, Nebraska, Post Office.
