Turner, Louis A.: Appointed for a study of the dissociation of molecules by light and by electron impact, chiefly with Professor Franck at the University of Göttingen; tenure, twelve months from July 15, 1929.
Born January 1, 1898, at Cleveland, Ohio. Education: Cornell University, A. B., A. M., 1920; Princeton University, Ph. D., 1923 (Class of 1860 Experimental Science Fellow, 1920–22; Charlotte Elizabeth Proctor Fellow, 1923–24). National Research Fellow, 1924–25, Harvard University.
Instructor in Physics, 1922–23, Assistant Professor, 1925—, Princeton University.
Publications: Articles in the Astrophysical Journal, Philosophical Magazine, Journal of Physical Chemistry, and Physical Review.
