BURR, GEORGE OSWALD:  Appointed for studies in the field of photosynthesis, in certain European laboratories; tenure, six months from June 20, 1934.

Born October 6, 1896, at Conway, Arkansas. Education:  Hendrix College, B.A., 1916; University of Arkansas, M.A., 1920; University of Minnesota, Ph.D., 1923; University of Illinois, 1920–21.

Professor of Chemistry, 1917–18, Kentucky Wesleyan College; Research Associate in Biochemistry, 1924–27, University of California; Assistant Professor of Botany, 1927–30, Associate Professor, 1930—, University of Minnesota; Field Assistant, United States Department of Agriculture, Summers, 1924–27.
