CHANEY, STEWART:  Appointed for studies of European methods of stagecraft; tenure, twelve months from May 12, 1937.

Born June 23, 1906, at Kansas City, Missouri. Education:  Yale University, 1926–28.

Stage designer, Utica Little Theatre, 1931–32; Suffern Theatre, 1933; Westport Theatre, 1934.

Theatrical productions designed:  Kill That Story, 1934; Dream Child, 1934; The Bride of Torozko, 1934; The Old Maid, 1935; On to Fortune, 1935; Times Have Changed, 1935; Parnell, 1935; Ghosts, 1935; O Evening Star, 1936; Hamlet, 1936; Hedda Gabler, 1936; Aged 26, 1936; Spring Dance, 1936; But for the Grace of God, 1937; Having Wonderful Time, 1937; American Ballet production, Apollo, 1937.
