CURTIS, LEWIS PERRY. Appointed for the preparation of a collection of letters illustrative of institutions at work in 18th century England; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1942.
Born November 30, 1900, Southport, Connecticut. Education: Yale University, B.A., 1923, Ph.D., 1926. American Council of Learned Societies Fellow, 1931–32; Jonathan Edwards College Fellow, 1933; Paskus Fellow, Yale University, 1941–42.
Instructor in English, 1927–31, Instructor in History, 1933–36, Assistant Professor of History, 1938—, Yale University.
