DARRELL, ROBERT DONALDSON: Appointed for the writing of a book making possible for the listener a new approach to musical experience by the use of mechanical media—phonograph, radio and sound film; tenure, twelve months from May 1, 1939.
Born December 13, 1903, at Newton, Massachusetts. Education: Harvard University, 1922; New England Conservatory of Music, 1923–25.
