Born July 28, 1898, at Glasgow, Scotland. Education: St. Johns College, University of Cambridge, B.A., 1921, M.A., 1925.

Editor, The Cambridge Review, 1920–21; Literary Editor, The Challenge (London), 1922–23; General Manager, The Guardian (London), 1924–25; Associate Professor of English, 1926–27, Vassar College.

Publications: “Poems,” 1920; “Harvest of Youth,” 1926; “Some Modern Poets,” 1928. Poems, reviews, and essays in The Saturday Review of Literature, Herald Tribune “Books,” Harper’s, Century, North American Review, and other publications in England and the United States.
