Don DeLillo was born and raised in New York City. He has published fifteen novels, including The Names, White Noise, Libra, and Falling Man; three stage plays; and a number of essays and stories. His work has won many honors in this country and abroad, including the National Book Award, the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, the Jerusalem Prize for his complete body of work, and the William Dean Howells Medal for his novel Underworld. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
