EASTMAN, ERMON DWIGHT:  Appointed for studies in non-isothermal systems of ionic entropies, and of electrons in metals, at the Universities of Leipsig and Munich; tenure, seven months from May 1, 1931.

Born November 30, 1891, at Marysville, California. Education:  University of California, B.S., 1913, M.S., 1914, Ph.D., 1917.

Instructor in Chemistry, 1917–21, Assistant Professor, 1921–25, Associate Professor, 1925—, University of California.

Publications: Articles in Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Publications of the Bureau of Mines, Physical Review.
