ARENT, ARTHUR: Appointed for creative writing in the field of the drama, using an amplification of the technique of The Living Newspaper productions; tenure, twelve months from June 1, 1938.
Born September 29, 1904, at Jersey City, New Jersey. Education: New York University, 1923–25.
Dramatist and Managing Editor, The Living Newspaper, Federal Theatre Project, 1935–37.
Author of the text of plays produced by The Living Newspaper of the Federal Theatre in New York: Ethiopia, 1935; Power, 1937; One Third of a Nation, 1938. Co-author: Triple-A Plowed Under, 1936; Injunction Granted, 1936.
