FLYNN, REV. VINCENT JOSEPH. Appointed for the preparation for publication of a manuscript important for the history of Anglo-Italian relations—cultural, commercial, social—in the last half of the 15th century; tenure, twelve months from June 15, 1942.

Born September 11, 1901, Avoca, Minnesota.  Education:  College of St. Thomas, B.A., 1923; St. Paul Seminary, S.T.B., 1927; University of Minnesota, M.A., 1929; University of Chicago, Ph.D., 1939. Study in libraries in Europe, 1934–35.

Instructor in English and Latin, 1927–30, St. Thomas Military Academy; Assistant Professor of English, 1935–40, Professor of English and Chairman of the Department, 1941—, College of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota. Visiting Lecturer, Catholic University of America, summers, 1939, 1940 and 1941.
