Born June 14, 1904, Cincinnati, Ohio.  Education:  University of Cincinnati, A.B., 1926, B.E., 1927, M.A., 1929; Yale University, Ph.D., 1935. University of Michigan, Summer, 1927; University of Chicago, Summer, 1929.

Curator and Instructor in Botany, 1927–40, Assistant Professor, 1940—, University of Cincinnati.
