HAMILTON, EARL JEFFERSON: Appointed for the preparation of a book on John Law’s system, the first experiment with a managed currency; tenure, twelve months from September 13, 1937.
Born May 17, 1899, at Houlka, Mississippi. Education: Mississippi State College, B.S., 1920; University of Texas, M.A., 1924; Harvard University, Ph.D., 1929 (Sheldon Travelling Fellow, 1926–27). Social Science Research Council Fellow, 1929–30.
Assistant Professor of Economics, 1927–29, Professor, 1929—, Duke University.
