HARRINGTON, FRED HARVEY. Appointed for a study of diplomatic aspects of the growth of American enterprise abroad, with emphasis upon the formative years, 1865–1900; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1943.
Born June 24, 1912, Watertown, New York. Education: Cornell University, A.B., 1933; New York University, M.A., 1934, Ph.D., 1937.
Instructor in History, 1936–37, New York University; Instructor in History, 1937–39, Assistant Professor, 1939–40, University of Wisconsin; Professor of History and Political Science and Head of the Department, 1940—, University of Arkansas. Visiting Professor, West Virginia University, Summer, 1942.
