BAKER, DOROTHY. Appointed for creative writing in the field of the novel; tenure, twelve months from April 1, 1942.

Born April 21, 1907, Missoula, Montana. Education:  Whittier College, 1926–28; University of California at Los Angeles, A.B., 1929; Occidental College, B.E., 1930; University of California, M.A., 1933.

Instructor in Languages, 1931–34, Williams Institute; Houghton Mifflin Fellow, 1937.

Publications:  Young Man with a Horn, 1938. Short stories and articles in Magazine, Vanity Fair, New Republic, Coronet, Harper’s Bazaar, Yale Review, Harper’s Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Vogue.
