Born July 12, 1904, in England. Education:  Haverford College, B.S., 1925, M.A., 1926; University of Pennsylvania, Ph.D., 1930.

Research Assistant, 1926–28, University of Pennsylvania; Instructor in Physiological Chemistry, 1933—, Johns Hopkins University. Henry Strong Denison Fellow, University of Pennsylvania, 1928–29; National Research Council Fellow, Johns Hopkins University, 1929–30.

Publications:  Articles in Journal of Biological Chemistry, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Biological Bulletin, Industrial and Engineering Chemistry.
