JOHNSON, GEORGE THOMAS:  Appointed for a biologic and taxonomic study of tropical American lichens; tenure, twelve months from August 15, 1940.

Born March 16, 1916, at Greenwood, Arkansas. Education:  University of Arkansas, A.B., 1936; Washington University, M.S., 1938, Ph.D., 1939.

Research Assistant and Lecturer in Botany, 1939—, Washington University.

Publications:  Articles in Annals of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
