LEE, OTIS HAMILTON:  Appointed for the writing of a book on the nature of philosophic inquiry; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1940.

Born September 28, 1902, at Montevideo, Minnesota.  Education:  Fargo College, 1920–22; University of Minnesota, B.A., 1924; University of Oxford, B.A., 1926 (Rhodes Scholar, St. John’s College); Harvard University, Ph.D., 1930 (Austin Fellow, 1929–30); University of Kiel, 1933–34; University of Freiburg, Summer, 1934.

Instructor in Philosophy, 1927–29, University of Michigan; Instructor and Tutor in Philosophy, 1930–33, 1934–35, Harvard University; Associate Professor of Philosophy, 1935–38, Pomona College; Professor of Philosophy and Chairman of the Department, 1938—, Vassar College.
