MARHENKE, PAUL:  Appointed for the preparation of a work on the sensational and perceptual basis of knowledge, in the nature of a critique of the subjectivistic premise of modern theories of knowledge; tenure, twelve months from August 1, 1940.

Born January 5, 1899, in Germany.  Education:  University of California, A.B., 1919, M.A., 1922, Ph.D., 1927.

Instructor in Philosophy, 1927–30, Assistant Professor, 1931–37, Associate Professor, 1938—, University of California.

Publications:  Articles in University of California Publications in Philosophy, Philosophical Review.
