MATTINGLY, GARRETT: Appointed for studies of the life and times of Catherine of Aragon, with special reference to her influence on English foreign policy, her influence on the development of English Humanism and her influence on the course of the Henrician reformation; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1936 (postponed to July 1, 1937).
Born May 6, 1900, at Washington, D. C. Education: Harvard University, A.B., 1922, M.A., 1926, Ph.D., 1935 (Sheldon Travelling Fellow, 1922–23).
Instructor, 1926–28, Northwestern University; Instructor, 1928–30, Assistant Professor, 1930—, Long Island University.
