Tim Maudlin is Professor II of Philosophy at Rutgers, The State of New Jersey, New Brunswick. He is the author of Quantum Non-Locality and Relativity (Blackwell, 2nd ed., 2002), Truth and Paradox (Oxford, 2004), and The Metaphysics within Physics (Oxford, 2007), as well as many articles on the foundations of physics, logic, and the philosophy of science. He grew up in Washington, D.C., received his B.A. from Yale in physics and philosophy, and his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in history and philosophy of science. His interests lie at the intersection of physics and philosophy, trying to articulate how the physical world might be if our present physical theories are on the right track.
