Adolph, Edward Frederick: Appointed to continue investigations into some of the internal factor which regulate the size of living organisms and tissues, particularly during growth; principally at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institut für Biologie in Berlin-Dahlem, Germany; tenure, six months from August 1, 1927.

Born July 5, 1895, at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Education: Harvard University, A.B., 1916; Yale University, 1916–18; Harvard University, Ph.D., 1920; Sheldon Traveling Fellow of Harvard University in residence at Oxford, England, 1920–21.

Instructor in Zoology, University of Pittsburgh, 1921–24; Instructor in Invertebrate Zoology, Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole, Massachusetts, 1921–24 (summers); Consulting Physiologist, U. S. Bureau of Mines, 1922–24; National Research Council Fellow in Zoology, in residence at The Johns Hopkins University, 1924–25; Assistant Professor of Physiology, School of Medicine and Dentistry, The University of Rochester, 1925—.
