McKillop, Alan Dugald: Appointed for a study of the life and works of Samuel Richardson, to be based chiefly on an examination of the unpublished Richardson Manuscripts at the South Kensington Museum, and of relevant books and manuscripts in the British Museum and the Bodleian Library; tenure, twelve months from July 15, 1928.

Born May 24, 1892, at Lynn, Massachusetts. Education: Harvard University,  A.B., 1913, A.M., 1914, Ph.D., 1920.
