Dietz, Frederick Charles: Appointed to make a study of the financial problems and policies of the English Government from 1558 to 1640, with special attention to administrative developments and the relation between public finance and constitutional changes during the period, chiefly in the Public Record Office and the British Museum; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1927.

Born May 23, 1888, in Philadelphia. Education: University of Pennsylvania, A.B., 1909; Harvard University, A.M., 1912, Ph.D., 1916. Bayard Cutting Traveling Fellow, Harvard University, 1914–16.

Instructor in History, Smith College, 1916–19; Assistant Professor, 1919–20; Assistant Professor of History, University of Illinois, 1920–26; Associate Professor, 1926—; Assistant Professor of History, University of Chicago, summer, 1923, 1925, 1926.
