JONES, GEORGE NEVILLE.  Appointed for the completion of a study of the botany of the Northwest Coast of North America; tenure, from October 1, 1944 to January 31, 1945 and from June 1, 1945 to September 30, 1945.

Born January 26, 1904, in England. Education:  State College of Washington, B.S., 1930, M.S., 1931; University of Washington, Ph.D., 1937; Harvard University, 1937–39.

Assistant in Botany, 1933–37, University of Washington; Instructor and Tutor in the Division of Biology, Harvard University, and Technical Assistant in the Arnold Arboretum, 1938–39; Associate Botanist, 1940–44, Assistant Professor, 1944—, University of Illinois.
