Born September 9, 1907, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Education: McGill University, B.A., 1927, M.A., 1928; University of Paris, Docteur-ès-lettres, 1932. Province of Quebec Travelling Scholarship, 1928–32.

Lecturer in English, 1932–34, Sir George Williams College; engaged in newspaper work, 1927—.
