Bunzel, Ruth L.:  Appointed to make a study of Indian backgrounds of the Mexican Nation; an intensive study of one of the more primitive Mexican tribes, with special emphasis on the effects of the contact of cultures; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1930.

Born April 18, 1898, in New York City.  Education: Barnard College, A.B., 1918; Columbia University, Ph.D., 1927; University of Chicago, 1926–27; National University of Mexico, Summer of 1929. Fellow of the Social Science Research Council, 1927–29.
