Born November 8, 1902, at Westmount, P. Q., Canada.  Education:  McGill University, B.Sc., 1925, M.A., 1926; University of Edinburgh, Ph.D., 1931.

Assistant Professor of English, Ball State Teachers College, 1930–31; Instructor in English, 1931–33, 1936–39, Assistant Professor, 1939—, Michigan State College; Head of the English Department, 1934–35, Doane College; Assistant Professor of English, 1935–36, University of South Dakota.
