Born May 25, 1910, Chicago.  Education:  University of Illinois, 1930; Northwestern University, 1931–33; University of Southern California, 1932; University of Hawaii, B.A., 1935.

Research Geologist, 1935–36, Board of Water Supply, Honolulu; Science Teacher, 1937–38, Brooklyn Children’s Museum; Rockefeller Foundation–Dramatists’ Guild Fellow, 1939.

Performances:  Dark Clouds, a play, produced at the Nora Bayes Theatre, 1938; Buried Height, a play, produced at University of Hawaii, 1935, and at Chicago Women’s Club, 1936; Fingers in the Fog, a play, produced at Hudson Park Theatre, 1938; Little Italy, a play, produced at Brooklyn Academy of Music, 1938; Ernie Norris, a play, produced in various stock theatres, 1939–40; Walk Into My Parlor, a play, produced at Forrest Theatre, New York City, 1941.
