Allison Funk is the author of six books of poems, the most recent of which is The Visible Woman, published by Parlor Press in 2021. Her previous collections include: Wonder Rooms (Parlor Press); The Tumbling Box (C&R Press); The Knot Garden (The Sheep Meadow Press); Forms of Conversion (Alice James Books); and Living at the Epicenter (Northeastern University Press), which won the Samuel French Morse Poetry Prize. She has received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Poetry Foundation, and the Poetry Society of America. Her poems have appeared in The Paris Review, Poetry, The Best American Poetry and elsewhere. For over 25 years she taught at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she was a Distinguished Professor in English and Creative Writing. Funk, who grew up in Delaware, lives in Edwardsville, Illinois.
