ENTERS, ANGNA:  Appointed for studies and creative work in the field of dance, abroad, especially a study of ancient Greek art forms with the purpose of recreating ancient Greek dances and mimes; tenure, six months from April 15, 1934.

Born in New York City.  Education: Musical and artistic studies in Europe and America.

Creator of ninety-seven “Compositions in Dance Form,” including a series based on Mediaeval Virgin worship, a contemporary sequence of Mexican Pagan-Christian forms, a sequence of mediaeval and contemporary Dances of Death, an American group of adolescent folk and modern city studies, a group of Biblical and Mohammedan-Oriental mimes, a sequence of 15th, 16th and 18th century Spanish religious and social studies, and a sequence of “Back-to-Nature movements” studies beginning with the 18th century.  Compositions in dance form presented eight seasons in New York, five in London, one in Paris; presented in Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, St. Paul, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, Ann Arbor, Toronto and other cities in the United States and Europe, 1926–34.

Paintings and drawings exhibited in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Ann Arbor, 1933; London, Albany and Providence, 1934; included in the Exhibition of International Theatre Art at the Museum of Modern Art, 1934.
