WINTNER, AUREL FRIEDRICH:  Appointed for the preparation of a monograph, in collaboration with Dr. Norbert Wiener, in the field of mathematical theory of probability and statistics; tenure, eight months from February 1, 1941.

Born April 8, 1903, in Austria.  Education:  University of Vienna, 1920-22 and 1924; University of Budapest, 1922–23; University of Göttingen, 1927; University of Leipzig, Ph.D., 1928.

Assistant, 1926–30, University of Leipzig; International Education Research Fellow, University of Rome, 1929–30; Research Fellow, 1930, Observatory of Copenhagen; Associate in Mathematics, 1930–35, Associate Professor, 1935—, Johns Hopkins University.
