Griffith, Coleman R.: Appointed for (1) critical historical research into the climates of opinion and the scientific affiliations of the 70’s and 80’s which caused the new science of Psychology to look toward analysis, measurement, and sense-physiology, rather than toward function, organism, and intelligent adjustment; and (2) experimental studies on the processes of learning and of maturation in the human child with particular reference to the origin and growth of certain primary muscular or motor configurations, principally at the University of Berlin, Germany; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1925; postponed to twelve months from August 15, 1926.

Born May 22, 1893, at Bear Grove, Iowa. Education: Greenville, College, A.B., 1915; University of Illinois, Ph.D., 1920.
