SEGURA Y GAMA, DAVID:  Appointed for studies in the organization and functioning of metallurgical laboratories with special reference to the treatment of precious metals, chiefly at the University of Utah Engineering Experiment Station; tenure, six months from September 18, 1933.

Born July 1, 1891, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Education:  School of Mines, Pachuca, Bachiller, 1908; National University of Mexico, Assayer and Chemist, 1911, Surveyor, 1912, Engineer of Mining and Metallurgy, 1914.

Mining engineer, 1914–27; Geologist, 1923–24, Geological Institute of Mexico; Chief of the section of Exploration and Inspection, 1927–33, Department of Mines; Temporary Professor of Mining, 1931–32, School of Engineers, National University of Mexico.
