WIDDER, DAVID VERNON:  Appointed for a study of the application of the general theory of function space to the theory of Laplace integrals; tenure, twelve months from August 15, 1935.

Born March 25, 1898, at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Education:  Harvard University, A.B., 1920, M.A., 1923, Ph.D., 1924 (Sheldon Travelling Fellow, 1920–21); University of Paris, 1920–21; University of Chicago and Rice Institute, 1926–27. National Research Council Fellow, 1926–27.

Associate in Mathematics, 1924–26, Associate Professor, 1927–30, Professor, 1930–31, Bryn Mawr College; Assistant Professor of Mathematics, 1931–32, Associate Professor, 1932—, Harvard University and Radcliffe College.
