Born October 26, 1904, Villahermosa, State of Tabasco, Mexico. Education:  National University of Mexico, Bachelor of Sciences, 1928, M.Sc., 1934, D.Sc., 1938.

Assistant, 1930–33, Investigator, 1934–38, Head of the Laboratory of Helminthology, 1939–42, and Head of Investigators, at the Institute of Biology; Professor of Laboratory Technique, 1935–36. Professor of Zoology, 1937–44, Faculty of Sciences, National University of Mexico; Head of the Biological Laboratory, 1935–37, Department of Secondary Education of the Secretariat of Public Education.
